The René Wedding
Mr and Mrs René wanted their wedding to be documented with warmth and sincerity, an editorial record of a day shaped by the care of their community. They imagined a celebration rich with colour and feeling, where every detail reflected the people who built it. The brief was to capture the life of the day as it unfolded.
I worked within the natural rhythm of events, allowing moments to emerge without interruption. The ceremony was treated with soft, sunlit tones, while the evening moved into a filmic palette that reflected its ease and intimacy. My approach centred on observing connection rather than constructing it.
The resulting series is a testament to the beauty of life gathered to celebrate union. The images move with the day’s shifting light, holding its warmth, motion and pure emotion — a celebration alive with colour and the unmistakable energy of love shared.
