Soft

Caney approached me with a desire to reconnect with her sense of power and self within disability. The brief was to create portraits that celebrated her inherent presence, resilience, and beauty.

The shoot was designed to be calm, tactile, and collaborative. Working with soft natural tones and textured fabrics, I aimed to create a space where Caney could move and rest without performance. Rather than relying on a traditional studio aesthetic, the session unfolded somewhere between portrait and ritual: intimate, grounded, and quietly luminous.

The resulting images carry warmth, openness and dignity, we see Caney as gorgeously empowered in her softness.

Testimonial

“I came into the studio hoping to feel empowered after the changes disability brought into my life. Kit made that possible by creating a space that was comfortable, intimate, and collaborative. They guided me gently, always listening, always attentive, and made the shoot feel natural.

When I saw the finished images I was amazed. They were beautiful. They showed me a version of myself I hadn’t seen in years. I recommend Kit to anyone looking for a photographer who truly understands how to capture people.”
